2015 Tax Season Start Date Released
While the days of refund anticipation loans are long gone, many tax payers want to get their taxes filed as soon as humanly possible to beat the rush and avoid long delays by the IRS. With changes to tax laws and expiring/renewing tax credits, the IRS has been shifting the start of the filing season the last few years. Last year they officially began accepting returns on January 30. Preliminary data has been released to suggest that the IRS will begin to accept e-filed tax returns for the upcoming 2015 season, beginning on January 23, 2015. Typical direct deposit time is 8-15 days after the return has been accepted by the IRS. These times are estimates, and subject to change depending upon your personal tax situation.
We will be holding an open house at Most Wanted Tax Prep on January 10, 2015 and invite you to come meet our staff and get your tax questions answered so you will be prepared.
